An anonymous police officer has told investigators that the woman was “sitting in a dark and dim room with only a window and window blinds”.
It is understood the officer was in the kitchen when the woman was confronted.
The officer, who has not yet been named, said: “I looked out of the window and saw an unknown male holding her by her wrists with one arm around her neck.”
She added: “It’s a really dark room and there is hardly any light on, there isn’t an opening on the window which is to give enough light to the window when she was sitting in the room with only the window and window blinds.
“A man can be in a state of being under duress which can give her the idea that she could be a victim of sexual assault and that theyjarvees.com will try to stop them and take her away from there.
“She was terrified and it didn’t just happen one night, it went on for a week, and that’s when I called police, who got there after she was held down for quite a while by her wrists, her head under her shirt and her hair pulled back in one direction.
“If there are any CCTV footage, they need to use it.”
Carnos added: “We will take care of the woman and take a report to the procurator fiscal office.”
She said the woman had spoken to investigators at the police station and she was “shocked and upset” about tjarvees.comhe episode.
The case is still open and enquiries are continuing.
A spokesperson for Newport Coroner’s Court said: “Our thoughts are with the woman, who is recovering in hospital.
“At this stage we are investigating to find out why she was let out of the room, and what happened to her after that, but at this stage we don’t know any of those questions.
“In light of all the circumstances, her family will be contacting us to discuss the next step.”
